Affluent laid on the outer edge of town

Beyond the downtown train tracks

I resided among the working classes

Where imagination somewhat offset

A dreamer’s longing in a beset reality

And liken all missionaries endeavored

I walked just where life persuade me

If only my life were more a rough draft

Of some unfinished fable in progress

Awaiting corrections that matched

Both my desires and earnest truths

What a tale would become unfolded

What a slice of life I would’ve known

And what a heavenly love … lived
