Only appearing as shy
She is of petite frame
With a slender waist
She carries herself well
Well-spoken and confident
Blessed with brown eyes
All of which disarmed me
But despite that or her size
I felt somewhat intimidated
So, I admired her from afar
For some unknown reasons
She’d ignored me every day
But I always treated her well
I tell you; fifth grade was…hell

Ascribe
Where flight became stalled
Because fear stood its ground
There- is where I- was reborn
Where I relearned my reality
As broken fragments of a self
Where I’ve seen the unveilings
Of time, truth, and Holy love
Where angels cried and wept
For my salvation and healing
And I- wept along with them
Where fire seared my mission
Forged into my soul as passion
A combatant for the wounded
Of humanities silenced…truths

What a true beauty and picture of innocence. Fifth grade is definitely an age when you believe you have the world by the tail,as many believe this fallacy at that age. Life is difficult, but allow Gods strength to be your strength.

At a time when innocent crushes was our introduction of possible wonderful things to come. Be blessed…

I love how this ends. Beautiful and brutally true at the same time. I remember those days…

Thank you much. Yes, those early days were merciless at times.
