Dearth

I am seated upon an unfamiliar fringe

In part by choice but most by alienation

A lifetime removed from true familyship

That had never really come to be known

Neither to one another nor to any others

Because we’re mere shadows of ourselves

We were flowers raised as noxious weeds

To the point, it overtook our inner nature

Oppression thru the ugliest of humanity

What sunlight we’ve enjoyed- felt stolen

Our thirst to this day remains unquenched

We stay too toxic to share the same arena

Too threatening to share the same resources

If only we could’ve bathed within…loves rein
