Wellspring

I can feel July morning breezes

Chill me to the core of my bones

As dawn’s fiery colors rise above

The horizontal plains of conscious

As default emotions break down

My heart remembers her presence

And just can’t replace the absence

The whole world wobbles around

Like some broken merry go round

Every day is the same indifference

What matters the most is lacking

On the shores of all the forgotten

And wave after wave crashes alive

Their echoes are breezes… in July
