I strolled the sandy walk of grief

My trail lead to where I sat- alone

I watched stripes of horizontal hope

Rush the beach- only to- die there

Seeping into a shore’s tiny granular

Until it disappeared- and just in time

Before more colored stripes get seized

Defeated only by an embedded strength

Yet, each stripe took something away

Obvious to all the naive naked eyes

It was then, in a moment I- realized

My tears are active resistance- rebels

Devout to make progress: inspire others

Until every single teardrop is… avenged
