I was justly standing there

Quiet- staring out a window

In an unnuanced moment

The cold rain was falling

Then without forethought

I step out the glass door

Beneath the lean-to roof

I took three more steps

Onto grass in the weather      

My body reacted with shivers

My mind identified coldness

Warm tears flooded my face   

As I confirmed the veracity

All my numbness was… just
