Squandered

 I got married very young  
 Divorced nearly as quick  
 Then married impulsively
 Trying to rekindle a love
 That was lost to time past 
 Both my wives failed me
 In hindsight and honesty
 I know I failed them too
 I- just don’t really know 
 Who failed who… first!

I'm the aberrational poet your English teacher warned you not to read or follow into the literary abyss. If you steal my poetry...I will find you in between fogyish metaphoric lines.   3. Painful indeed.. But… I am first going to say I can relate. I find myself saying the words many times.. I did this. , I caused this.. Guilt possibly. But then again, if a marriage fails, there a reason why it did on both sides. My opinion my friend. But I have been tossing this around in my head. ❤️
