Pitilessness

Like a silent thunder-crack

Only one person hears

I was dumbstruck more than usual

My soul and heart filled in fear

.

Darkness lasted

For eons of a moment

I locked into bewilderment

Denying all of it obtusely, still do

.

Since the first dawn after

The mountainside glittered

In fresh dew on the verdant grasses

I knew, unwillingly I knew, I lost you

.

And in that stalled kind of ticktock

All I could selfishly think was…too soon

.
