Temptations

It was like dark chocolate

Was surprisingly infused

With a delectably cinnamon

It seemed rather innocent

When first I spoke to her

She was being more provocative

Worse- she full well knew it

In for a penny, in for a pound

Who knew I was bound already

Now even I was a bit febrile

Despite the colder weather air

Who knew heaven and hell

Both wore same nightgown

Veiling real ghostly flames

I still have those burn marks

Radiating fresh on both knees

Every joint overly exercised

Until each reached near extinction

I reached past being parched

Deeper and deeper I plunged

Sinfully but still going beyond

Seeking that climatic finish

I only succeeded being steeped

My most intimate of desires

Found wrapped within her fire

Like a ring churning with no exit

Showered repeated to the brink

Always just short of quenching

The full best of both realms

With no mercy to be heard

I never sought compromise

Cause I’m still…unfinished

I couldn’t wait till morning, I just had to read what all the inspiration created. You even got my ghostly flames! It’s like you know me so well…inside.

    Thank you πŸ–€πŸ’‹
