Gasps

Heartbeats of complications
Of all the things I could presume
None of them would’ve included
Losing a love, like you

Oh! The days and hours
That keep me company
Have lost all their meaning
Since you left them with me

And none of these moments
Are filled with the laughter we had
Or the tears we created
When love was in full naked bloom

Oh! Don’t you just hate it
When everything right is gone
And you’re left with too much wrong
In too many days and too many hours

The time comes when a mind
Slowly stops wandering
Sure, that there’s nothing to find
Or left worth exploring- alone

Of all the things I ever needed
None was sweeter nor greater
Than simply-loving…you
